Certus by Clearline.

Every worker on site qualified, current, and provable — including the contractors.

Training records live in three binders, a spreadsheet, and someone's memory. A contractor arrives with an expired confined-space card and nobody catches it until an auditor does, or until somebody gets hurt. Certus makes qualification a gate instead of a filing problem.

The problem
An expired qualification is not a paperwork problem until the moment it becomes an injury, a citation, and a deposition — usually in that order.
01

Nobody knows who is short until someone checks

Required training by role exists in a binder. Who is actually current against it is a question that takes a week and three people to answer.

02

Contractor season breaks the system

Turnaround brings four hundred people through the gate in ten days. Verifying qualification by hand at that volume is not a process, it is a hope.

03

Attendance is not competence

A sign-in sheet proves somebody was in the room. It does not prove they can do the task, and an investigator will make that distinction for you.

What it does

Qualification as a control, not a records exercise.

Certus starts from the question a regulator, an insurer, and a plaintiff's attorney will all ask the same way: show me that this specific person was qualified to do this specific task on this specific day. Everything in the product exists to answer that in one click.

01

Qualification matrix

Required training mapped to role, task, and area, so the gap between what the job demands and what the person holds is visible without anyone assembling a report.

02

Expiration tracking and alerts

Automatic notice at 90, 60, and 30 days to the worker, the supervisor, and the training coordinator — so renewals happen before the shift, not after the finding.

03

Contractor onboarding

Orientation delivery, document collection, and qualification verification for people who will never have a company login, at turnaround volume.

04

Competency assessment

Written and hands-on field evaluations with an evaluator sign-off, recorded against the task — not just a course-completion checkbox.

05

Evidence packs

One click produces the complete audit binder for a worker, a crew, a contractor firm, or a date range, with source documents attached.

06

Site access gating

Optional badge, QR, or turnstile integration that stops an unqualified worker at the gate instead of discovering the problem at the job site.

Who it's for

Built for operations where being wrong is expensive.

Clearline Certus is sold by the site, not by the industry. These are the operations where it lands first — and the roles that own the problem it solves.

Built to hold up

Designed around what an auditor will ask for.

Compliance is not a module bolted onto Clearline Certus. The record structure, the signatures, and the retention exist because someone will eventually ask you to produce them.

  • OSHA training standards, 1910 and 1926 — HAZWOPER, confined space, lockout/tagout, respiratory protection, powered industrial trucks, fall protection, hot work, and the rest of the matrix in one place.
  • ISO 45001 §7.2 — Competence — determining it, achieving it, and retaining documented information as evidence of it.
  • DOT and FMCSA driver qualification files — Complete DQ file management with expiration control for medical certificates, licenses, and endorsements.
  • Contractor prequalification platforms — Clean, exportable records for the documentation ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce reviews ask you to produce.
  • TWIC and site access credentials — Credential expiry tracked alongside qualification so access and competence never drift apart.
What it returns

Where the license pays for itself.

These are the three places customers find the money. None of them require a change in headcount, and all three are numbers your finance team can already see.

Turnaround readiness

Qualification verification at contractor volume is where this earns its license in a single season.

Citation and shutdown exposure

An unqualified worker on a permitted job is a finding that can stop the job, not just fine it.

Contractor scorecards

Better documentation raises prequalification scores, which is directly worth money on bid eligibility.

Licensing

How to get it before anyone else can.

What a design partnership actually is. You are not buying finished software. You are paying to have it built around your operation, ahead of everyone else, with your name on the decisions. In exchange you get the first year free, a rate locked for three years, and the right to walk with your data if it does not work.

Implementation. Included in the design-partner fee. At list, it would be $10,000–$30,000 one-time depending on areas, forms, and records migrated.

More than one product. Design partners on a second Clearline product pay half the second fee, because the platform underneath is already built for your site. See where each product stands →

Prices are USD, 2026. List figures are planned, not promised, and will be confirmed before general availability.
