Bookline by Clearline.

Clients book themselves. The book never double-fills, and reminders go out on their own.

For people who sell their own time — stylists, barbers, groomers, dog walkers, trainers, mobile detailers. One booking page, your real availability, deposits if you want them, and a day sheet that is right when you open it at 8 a.m.

The problem
Every no-show is an hour you already paid for. Every double-booking is a client you just lost.
01

Booking by text message

Twelve threads, three of them asking for the same Saturday at 10. You are the scheduling software, and you are also cutting hair.

02

No-shows with no consequence

A deposit changes behavior. Bookline collects it when the client books, and refuses the booking if the card fails.

03

The reminder you forgot to send

The reminder goes out at the same hour every day whether you remember or not, and it never sends twice.

What it does

Everything it does, in the order you will use it.

Bookline does one job for one kind of business. Nothing here needs a manual, and nothing is bolted on for a feature list.

01

A booking page that knows your real availability

Weekly hours per provider, time off, service durations with cleanup buffers, how far ahead people may book and how many you will take in a day. It only offers times that actually work.

02

Deposits, when you want them

Set a deposit per service. Card details are collected by Stripe at booking; the slot is held for a few minutes and released if payment never completes.

03

Reminders and self-service

Clients get a text 24 hours out with their own manage link. They can reschedule or cancel inside the notice window you set — and not outside it.

04

The day sheet

Today, in order, with phone numbers and notes. Mark arrived, done, or no-show; the client's history keeps count.

05

Recurring appointments

Every second Tuesday at 4 for the next six months, in one action, with each visit checked against the book.

06

Clients, without the CRM

Name, number, what they usually get, visits, no-shows. Enough to remember people, not enough to become a project.

Who it's for

One location, real customers, no IT department.

Bookline is priced and built for a single business, and grows to a second location or a second chair when you do.

Built to hold up

The things we got right on purpose.

Small software still has to be correct. These are the rules the database enforces so the page never has to be trusted.

  • Two clients cannot hold the same slot. — Not because the page checks first — because Postgres refuses the second insert. Tested with twenty-five simultaneous bookings of one slot: one succeeded, twenty-four got a clear "just taken".
  • Buffers are real time. — The ten minutes to sweep up after a cut are as unbookable as the cut. If a service changes, every future block recalculates.
  • The manage link is the only key. — A client's reschedule link works for that one appointment and nothing else. There is no client login to forget.
  • Reminders are idempotent. — A unique record per appointment and message means a double run of the reminder job cannot double-text anyone.
What comes with it

Your name on it, and a poster for the wall.

Every Bookline is set up as your business, not as ours. Two things come with it that you do not have to ask for.

A printable QR poster

A sheet for the front desk or the window with a code your clients scan to book from their phone. No app to install; it opens your booking page.

  • Customer code — large, so a phone reads it from across the room. It opens your booking page.
  • Staff code — small, fenced off at the bottom, marked not for customers. Your people scan it to sign in, with the app already chosen.
  • Prints on a normal sheet; save it as a PDF and email it if you would rather.
  • The codes point at clearlineprotocol.com, never at a server address, so a sheet taped to a wall keeps working if we move anything.

Your logo, your colour, your details

Send us your logo and we put it on the app and on the poster. Pick a colour and the buttons, badges and highlights take it. Your name, address, hours and phone are what your customers see — ours is not on the screen anywhere.

  • Your mark in the header, and beside every one of your staff in the back office
  • One accent colour, checked so text stays readable against it
  • No logo yet? Your initials on your colour, which looks deliberate rather than missing

Pricing

One flat monthly price. No contract.

Priced per business, billed monthly, cancel by email. Card processing, where you turn it on, is Stripe’s standard rate and goes through your own Stripe account. Tell us about the shop and you will get a plain number, not a quote deck.

Clearline Protocol Software

Run Bookline by next week.

Tell us the business, the hours, and what goes wrong today. We set it up, hand you the key, and you are taking bookings the same day.
